  1. Great article Julianna. I happen to be a cleaning lady for over 15 years now and what I’ve learned is that less stuff is sitting on the floor, more furniture that is on legs that raise it up from the floor and less little things to dust are the biggest things that will make a house fast and easy to clean. That’s because you have to move every little thing and that’s what actually eats up your time.

  2. A great habit is to put your errands directly in the car as they accumulate. For example, library books, mail to drop off, items to donate or return etc. This way they are out of the house, and you are all set to complete these errands as you are out and about. This tip is one of the best organizing tips I’ve received. It has served our household well over the years.

  3. Julianna, I still love getting your tips after all these months. You do us a real service by reminding us to keep decluttering and giving us suggestions on other things. Keep it up!

  4. Pair a task with cleaning. Add a swiffer duster in the TV cabinet or nearby drawer gives a quick wipe to screens and soundbars where dust is more obvious. We actually keep our duster with our main remote home in the cabinet, so when we open cabinet, use remote to turn on TV with one hand, we use duster on the screen soundbar and cabinet area right quick while waiting for station to tune in or changing to new station. We place the duster in its home in cabinet, then the remote goes to coffee table while TV is on. When TV is turned off, remote goes to its cabinet home with duster and cabinet is closed.
