  1. I think the habit that has stuck with me lifelong is putting things away when I am done with them. I don’t have to hunt for anything because it’s where it is supposed to be. This habit includes clearing up as I go in the kitchen, putting things away as I finish with them, and putting utensils in the sink so the counter is clear. There is no mess, no muddle. All is serene.

  2. Great set of habits to consider. I especially like the suggestion to do something purposeful to help someone else. It’s easy to focus on creating and doing our “to-do” lists without dropping in a few items that would help someone else. I’ve noticed lately that even a “how are you doing/holding up okay?”text, call email to a friend you know has a lot on his/ her plate can make that person remember that they aren’t tackling the world on their own.

  3. I really enjoy reading your site. It is inspirational and empowering to get me to change my ways and declutter. It has been a slow process for me however, every little action helps and I feel happy.
    Thankyou.

  4. Definitely a morning routine! I get up at 5.30 every weekday and go to a group fitness class at my gym. It sets my intention for the day and makes me energised and I get my movement/training in before anything or anyone else hijacks my day! I find it much harder to garner enthusiasm later in the day. I definitely want to work on reducing social media scrolling! Such a time suck/procrastination tool. I love the idea of the ‘one touch’ rule.

  5. Thank you for these simple routines. I do all these things. First thing when I wake up in the morning 🌄 is be thankful to God that I woke up. I read the daily reading of the Mass for the day. Now that I’m retired, I take my time getting up in the morning and catch up with the news then after breakfast I attend to my garden and yard.I mow my lawn for my own exercise, go to my gym sit at Sauna room 2x a week for cardio. I volunteer with local group and volunteer at church attend Mass on daily service 2x a wk. Take care of a 91 year old aunt twice a week 6hrs each day .When I visit my aunt, I recite my Rosary.
In the night before i sleep I thank God that I was able to do what I need to do for the day.. Daily routine is my exercise 💪 🙏🏻

  6. The morning routine has been good.
Wake up 4:45 am in morning and do morning prayers for 15 minutes every day.
    It’s been so good.

  7. I have a habit of every time I get out of my car someplace other than home I grab the trash in my door and dump it in the trashcan going into those stores. When I get home all I have to grab are the things I need to take in the house. And my car stays clean!
If grand children are with me I tell them the same thing, “grab the trash let’s dump it on the way in to the store”.

  8. I make a rule that no more than three things are allowed to stay on top of nightstand, dresser, bathroom or counter top in kitchen. If I keep these areas clear , it just gives me a feeling of clean and neat.
I remember something Nancy Reagan said about drugs but I apply it to food when I reach for that treat. “ Just say No”. We can control our eating most of the time if we try.

  9. No wonder I feel joy in my heart!!! My daily habits entail all of these!!! An attitude of gratitude is essential and giving yourself some time in the morning sets the atmosphere for one’s day! Helping others is the best emotional and spiritual “habit” that gives me more joy and peace of mind! Keeping life “simple” by eating “real and clean food” moving in motions that bring you joy( for me it’s dancing and swimming), and minimizing and tiding of my home and belongings also help to keep that “ balance” in life! Life is not perfect and the days that I become “off track” I give myself grace and continue on with my extremely blessed life!!

  10. I think, one habit includes all that is “Practising Gratitude.”

Practising gratitude means not taking blessings of God for granted.
Blessings of God l mean all the things let it be tangible or intangible we have.

If someone doesn’t practice gratitude, God will sooner or later take away his blessings.

Gratitude opens the doors for more blessings.

Practising gratitude makes one realise that one has more than enough. Without sense of enough one can’t be happy. So, it very much needed, one should practice gratitude for happy and meaningful life.

  11. My daily events that are now mindless habits begin at 6am-.prayers of gratitude upon waking, stretches, breathing exercises, dress for morning walk with my pup, drink 20 oz of H2O w/lemon, walk 2-3 miles, drink 16 oz Matcha with multi collagen (grass fed bovine, wild caught fish, free range chicken, sustainably sourced…), meditation, brush my pup, HIIT or RET, breakfast for my pup and me, call my Mom for daily devotion; 4 hours of atomic habits completed now ready for the rest of my day. Wishing everyone a fabulous and flourishing day!
