  1. Love this!!! I think everyone should read this blog! In a society where everyone is trying to keep up with the Jones’ and we have a generation of entitled young adults who are now raising children of their own… It’s only bound to get worse!! My oldest I wouldn’t say necessarily thinks this way, but she jokes about shopping and spending money all the time, which I don’t really feel she does but, I kind of fear my granddaughter picking up on it and thinking she is being for real and then ending up acting entitled herself, so I think I’ll send this to my daughter!! LOL Thank you!!

  2. Conscious decision making is critical. How much food do we throw out at the expiration dates? Those dates take away our conscious decisions. We let others decide it. We are numb to the spoilage as we over for what ifs. I am focused on what decisions are mine and what others I let go to others. I want to make more of my own decisions and be conscious of what I need to do to make sure I don’t overbuy and then toss. Frequently going over my pantry to make sure I use up my items is now essential to my well being about this.

  3. We have found that meal planning has helped a lot with food waste. We sit down once weekly and plan what we will have for all of our dinners. A couple of those nights are leftovers. We’ve been doing this since Covid started.
