  1. I loved Free to Focus as well! I’m seriously inspired by your one tab rule—I’m pretty good about making sure I only have work tabs open when I’m working, but I currently have 15 tabs open in this one window!! Oops…

      1. Thank you for all of advice and the articles you post.
I’m working on focusing to get my “projects “ done but it seems difficult with INTERRUPTIONS
from my husband, the dog, lunch time etc. I’ve started to put boundaries and declaring my time of 1-2 hours to get something done, and it helps, sometimes it may be 15mins. But it’s something. A little bit at a time 😊

  2. Love all the tips in this post, Julianna! The single-tasking is definitely a big one for me. If I have a plan already made for my work session, and I know exactly what the most important thing is that I need to do, then it is easier for me to focus on that and I am less likely going to start working on other ‘non-important, but easier’ things.

I also love following the A, B, and C tasks rule, which I talk about on my blog. Definitely a productivity game changer for me! And love the concepts from Eat That Frog – great book!

  3. Excellent advice. In the words of my favourite author (one of whose books I recommended to you not too long ago):

“In order to be successful, you must do but one thing at a time, concentrating all your powers upon that.” – E.G. White

Confession: The reason I ended up reading this article is because I was putting off starting supper. I was halfway through it when I realized it was time to put the advice into practice. I came back to finish once the food was in the oven. Thanks for the kick in the pants. 🙂
