  1. Before I could get serious about setting some boundaries, I had to take a look at what my REAL life is:
    There were toxic people present. I couldn’t identify my strengths and weaknesses. I have limited financial resources at my disposal. Transportation is sometimes a challenge.
    Once I faced up to the fact that I was not being realistic, I was able to step-by-step set some priorities and begin to set boundaries. Still not perfectly, but much better. May other readers of the blog find what their boundaries need to be.–Anne

  2. “Creating clear expectations and responsibilities” resonates with me at the moment. I had to do exactly that this evening with a healthcare provider. At issue is accessibility and respect for my time. I was clear and firm about what is unacceptable, providing indisputable examples of her behavior, and what I required to stop what had become a trend. I believe I was heard, but I was also clear that if changes are not made immediately to my expressed requirement, I will terminate our relationship. This is a second chance. I do not give thirds.
